The Electronics and Payloads (E&P) organization is seeking a Project Management Professional to join its organization that supports numerous programs at the Autonomous Design Center of Excellence in San Diego CA. E&P is responsible for design, integration, test, and support of numerous electronic subsystems such as radar, communications, IP networks, ground control systems, mission management, and other payloads. In this role you will be a key part of our engineering team and will report directly to the subsystem manager. You'll be responsible for oversight and management of the operational aspects of ongoing engineering projects and serve as a liaison between the Program Office, Program Planning, and Electronics and Payloads engineer team. Essential Functions: * Responsible for managing subcontractors to include the technical, cost, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction performance of the subcontracted product * Maintaining status of projects and budgets, managing schedule commitments and preparing status presentations and reports. * Project issues shall be assessed and resolutions developed to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. * Software tools shall be utilized for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving in coordination with Program and Engineering. * Working closely with Engineering in the preparation of Customer Presentations and Executive Level presentations. * Preparation and presenting of Estimate at Complete status, Variance Reporting, \"Return to Green\" Plans and status of Risk Mitigation steps is within the scope of this position. Other responsibilities may be assigned such as maintaining the Engineering portion of the Program's Master Operating Plan, Program Definition Document, and Program Management Plan current. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. ELEPAY Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university * Minimum of 6 years project management experience or STEM related experience with Bachelors; 4 years with Masters. * Ability to obtain and maintain In Scope DOD Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's Degree in a management field.-Active DoD Top Secret Clearance * Special Program Access. * Proven success leading teams * Risk and Opportunity management experience * A working knowledge of Project Management principles and familiarity with concepts such as Integrated Management Systems * Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) * Advanced knowledge of tools such as SharePoint, JIRA, and Microsoft Office Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
