Position is contingent on PSS-T contract award.
Individual will work as part of a team providing flight support; interpretation of surveillance systems products; O&M on aerostat avionics, acoustic sensors, ground sensors; operation of EO/IR sensor payloads, radar systems, military and telemetry radios. Conducts preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as O&M of aerostats and mooring systems in support of the Persistent Surveillance Systems - Tethered (PSS-T) program.
Individual will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of Electro-Mechanical Systems and Electrical Systems. Individual will be considered a Electrical Maintenance and Repair Specialist.
Performs other duties as assigned.
The physical demands of this position and the operational requirements of the equipment can be substantial. Position often requires working in extreme temperatures, at heights greater than 15 feet, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Individuals must attend the Army ? CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) and successfully complete Customer required pre-deployment physical and dental exams (USCENTCOM MOD 12 w/Tab A)(final medical deployment eligibility determination lies with the clinician providers assigned to the deployment center); prior to traveling into theater. This assignment supports rotations in the United States and OCONUS to include Southwest Asia. Individual will perform duties while living in austere environments. Mission requirements dictate that Individuals be available for transfer on short-notice to work locations throughout the world.
Total compensation will vary upon rotation assignment.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Current or active DoD Secret clearance.
Ability to successfully complete Customer required pre-deployment physical and dental exams in accordance with USCENTCOM MOD 12 w/Tab A (final medical deployment eligibility determination lies with the clinician providers assigned to the deployment center).
Electrical Maintenance with qualifications at the 10 series or greater from U.S. Army MOS 15F/H/J/K/M/N/R/S/T/U/X/Y, 91E, 94A/E/F/G/HJ/L/M/R/S/T or other military branch equivalent, or industry occupational specialties.
O&M of Electrical/Mechanical Systems/Subsystems and Equipment to include but not limited to one or more of the following:
* Aircraft Pneudraulics
* Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)
* Radio/Radar/Communications Electronics
* High lift vehicles
* Hydraulic systems
* Winch systems
* Tether/cable handling systems
* Industrial generator sets
* Power switch gear
* Hydraulic/servo valves
* Hydraulic actuators, control systems
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
Proficient with the MS Office Suite and all common Windows/Unix/Linux OS.
Effective oral and written communications skills
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. At least 2 years experience within discipline.
